Room Description

Single rooms are 8' wide by 15' long, with at least one window and a large closet. Double rooms are like two single rooms without a wall separating them. Click HERE to view a room diagram.

The bed is a regular twin size, for which we supply a blanket, bedspread, pillow, and mattress and box spring encasements. The other furnishings consist of a bedside table, small lamp, bookcase, desk with a chair, dresser with a mirror, occasional chair, and wastebasket. There is an overhead light and a table lamp.

Residents should bring a mattress pad, twin sheets, pillowcases, towels, an alarm clock, and a toiletry caddy to take items to the hall bathroom.  The room floor is tile, so you may want to bring a small rug to use beside the bed.

Pictures can be hung on the walls using poster putty or 3M Command Adhesive Strips.  Residents may bring a television, which will receive the local channels with a digital antenna; however, the rooms do not have cable hookups.  There is a large TV with digital cable and a DVD player in the community television room.

Please do not bring any type of kitchen appliance (i.e., refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, hot plate, etc.).  Hot and cold drinks are always available in the dining room, and we provide three refrigerators, a freezer, and two microwaves for residents to use.

We have a laundry room with coin-operated washers ($1.00) and dryers ($1.00).  Irons and ironing boards are also provided on each floor.

Telephone Service:
We supply a telephone in each room, and residents may set up their voice mailbox to receive messages when they arrive. Local calls are included in the cost of rent, but there is a fee for International and long distance calls. We do not give out telephone extensions before check-in because they are subject to change.

Recreation Room:
Residents may use our fitness area, which includes a treadmill, an elliptical machine, a Pilates machine, exercise balls, free weights, and a scale.  The community refrigerators and freezers are also located in this room, as well as, a vending machine, drink machine, water dispenser, and a microwave.

The area also features a television with digital cable, a DVD player, and stadium style recliners, which are available for resident use.  Time slots for the television may be reserved by visiting the Front Desk.  The room also features a collection of VHS tapes, DVDs, multiple puzzles, and various board games.

Computer Room:
In addition to the Wi-Fi connections available throughout the building, TMH offers a computer room, located on the lobby level, that features three desktop computers.  Residents may obtain a room-specialized printer/copier code in order to use the copier and printer machine located in the computer room.  Copies and printed pages are $0.10 per page and local faxes and scans are $0.50 per page.

Mail Services

Residents are more than welcome to receive packages at TMH.  The U.S. Postal Service, UPS, and FedEx deliver to TMH on a daily basis.  Package slips are created for large packages and placed in the residents' mailboxes located behind the Front Desk in the lobby.

Future residents are allowed to send mail and packages to TMH starting one week prior to their scheduled arrival.  Please do not send mail or packages more than one week in advance of your arrival.  There is no need to list a room number when sending mail or packages.

Mixed paper, mixed plastics, and aluminum/tin cans can be recycled in house.  Recycling receptacles are located on each floor near the elevator, as well as, in the community recreation room.

Dining at TMH

Major meals are included in the cost of rent.  Major meals include:  Breakfast and Dinner Monday through Saturday, and Brunch on Sunday, except on holidays when an alternative schedule is posted.  Hot and cold drinks, as well as, a microwave and toaster are available to the residents throughout the day and evening.

Guests are allowed to dine at TMH with residents for the cost of the meal.  Please see the Front Desk Attendant for current guest meal prices and to obtain a guest meal ticket.
