Accommodations
Room Description Amenities Mail Service Recycling Dining at TMH
Accommodations feature fully furnished, single air-conditioned rooms with telephones and weekly housekeeping (linens not included). Two multi-unit baths are located on each floor.
We have 24-hour front desk service and a building security system. There is no parking lot for residents, but street parking is available for residents who qualify for a D.C. parking permit (click HERE for more details).
Residents may use TMH common areas, which include a living room with fireplace, library, garden, porch and sun deck.

The bed is a regular twin size, for which we supply a mattress pad, blanket, bedspread and pillow. The other furnishings consist of a bedside table, bookcase, desk with chair, dresser with mirror, occasional chair and wastebasket. There is an overhead light and a table lamp.
Residents should bring sheets, pillowcases, towels, an alarm clock and toiletry caddy to take items to the hall bathroom. Because the floor is tile, you may want to bring a small rug for beside the bed.
Pictures can be hung on the wall using poster putty or 3M Command adhesive hooks. Residents may bring a tv, which will receive the local channels with a digital antenna, but rooms do not have cable hookup. There is cable tv in the community television room.
Please do not bring any type of kitchen appliance (i.e., refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, hot plate, etc.). Hot and cold drinks are always available in the dining room, and two refrigerators, a freezer, and a microwave are provided for residents' use.
We have a laundry room with coin-operated washers ($1.00) and dryers ($1.00). Irons and ironing boards are also provided on each floor.
Telephone Service:
We supply a telephone in each room, and residents may set up their voice mailbox to receive messages when they arrive. Local calls are included in the cost of rent, but there is a fee for International and long distance calls. We do not give out telephone extensions before check-in because they are subject to change.
Recreation Room:
Residents may use our fitness area, which includes a treadmill, an elliptical, several exercise balls, free weights, and a scale. The common use refrigerators and freezers are also located in this room as well as a vending machine and microwave.
The area also features a cable television and stadium style recliners, which are available for resident use. Time slots may be reserved by visiting the Front Desk. The room also features a collection of VHS tapes, DVDs, and board games.
Computer Room:
In addition to the wifi connection available in the building, TMH offers a computer lab located on the lobby level that features three desktop computers. Residents may obtain a room-specific printer code in order to use the combination copier/printer/scanner located in the lab. Copies are $.10 per page and scans are $.50
Mail Services
Residents are more than welcome to receive packages at TMH. The USPS, UPS, and FedEx all
deliver to TMH daily. Package slips are filled out for large packages and placed in resident
mailboxes located behind the front desk.
Future residents are allowed to mail packages to TMH no more than one week prior to their arrival. There is no need to list a room number when mailing.
Recycling
Major meals are included in the cost of rent. Meals include breakfast and dinner Monday through Saturday, and Sunday Brunch except on holidays when an altered schedule is posted. Hot and cold drinks as well as a microwave are available to residents throughout the day and evening.
Guests are allowed to dine with residents at TMH for the cost of the meal. Please see the Front Desk Operator for current prices and to obtain a meal ticket.
